About

Steve grew up in Moore, a suburb of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He recently married the love of his life, Heather; they live happily in Oklahoma City.  He is a firm believer in Jesus Christ, saved at the age of 17 and later surrendered to ministry at age 18.  He is passionate about serving the Lord: “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” (Colossians 3:17, NASB).

Steve has a genuine love for the people of God.  He serves as the pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, serving there  since 2009.  Before coming to Bethel, Steve served in a number of capacities, including preaching, teaching Sunday School, an children’s ministry.  He desires to equip the body of Christ for daily living, worshiping and serving the Lord (Ephesians 4:12).

He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies.  He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Steve enjoys a great cup of coffee any time of the day.  He  loves reading good books, cooking, taking nature walks (especially with his wife), and traveling.  He and his wife enjoy  playing games together, reading to one another, or settling down on the coach for a good movie.
